The transformation
By the end of these 5 days, you will understand where Yoga and Ayurveda come from. You will know the differences between various styles, learn basic alignment, understand the philosophy, and discover how to live Yoga as a way of life.
You will learn about your unique constitution (dosha) and how to bring your body and mind back into balance through the elements and nature. You will discover delicious Ayurvedic recipes and understand the foundations of Ayurveda.
You will leave with practical tools you can continue using at home: detox, morning rituals, self-cleansing, journaling prompts, manifestation tools. You will discover how small, simple steps can bring you closer to yourself and learn daily routines that can be incorporated even into a busy life.
You will feel recharged and reconnected to your true self. Not through complicated methods, but through the simplest path. You will feel grounded, supported, and understood.
When you return home, you will have everything you need to begin creating lasting change. Not through radical transformations, but through small, consistent steps, supported by the inspiration and motivation you received during the retreat.
And deep down, you will know: This is what I have been looking for. Finally, it all makes sense.

PICTURE THIS…
You wake up to the sound of birds. You walk up in silence to an oceanfront yoga shala and observe the sunrise during your morning breathwork practice. Yoga and meditation – guided by experienced, trauma-informed teachers. No performance, but real, traditional, simple teachings.
After your practice, you walk down to the dining hall overlooking the beautiful island of Tenerife. You share a breakfast made with love, surrounded by like-minded, grounded human beings.
Later, you sit in a circle with your intimate, small group and have conversations about Yoga, Ayurveda, chakras, spirituality, India, and traditions. You learn delicious Ayurvedic recipes and discover your unique constitution. Rituals. Real talks and lots of laughter.
Now it is your time to relax. To connect with yourself. To journal, swim in the pool, enjoy the sauna, or receive a massage.
As the sun sets, join a relaxing yoga session: Yin, restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra.
Dinner by candlelight. A starry night sky without light pollution. Laughter, conversations, and real connections.
After dinner, rest, recharge, or participate in ceremonies, mantra chanting, ecstatic dance, movie night.
Finally, you remember who you are. You remember how to just be. And that feeling great doesn’t have to be so complicated.
What if you learned these practices and then took them home, making them your new normal?
So simple. Small, consistent changes. And you will never be left alone – even long after returning home.
What you’ll take home with you

Foundations of yoga
During these 5 transformative days, we will journey into the heart of what it truly means to live yoga.
Each day will include 2 asana practices (energising and restorative), and we will dive deep into meditation and breathwork.
Through workshops, we will learn about asana alignment and explore the origins and philosophy of yoga through the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita.
By the end of our time together, you will understand how yoga extends far beyond the movements on the mat and how to incorporate simple practices into your daily life.

basics of ayurveda
We will explore the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda, morning routines and cleansing practices, and learn how to integrate simple Ayurvedic rituals into your daily lives.
In an Ayurvedic cooking workshop, you will learn more about the magic of spices and recipes that support your digestion. You will also learn how to do a kitchari gut reset at home.
You will discover your dosha and receive guidance on how to bring balance and harmony into your life.
You will create your own spice blend and receive a collection of Ayurvedic recipes to continue your self-care practice after the retreat ends.

Meet The Facilitators

Petra
Hi! My name is Petra, and first of all, I am grateful to have you here.
My story began a long time ago, when I started to practice yoga at the age of 17. From looking at yoga from the physical side to experiencing all its benefits in my life, during these years, I understood that Yoga is Life. It is the way you behave, wake up, treat others and yourself.
Yoga opened many doors for me: I moved to the deep jungle of Costa Rica, where I deeply connected to nature. I studied and started to live my life according to Ayurveda, which healed me from several hormonal and skin diseases. I traveled the world to learn more about different spiritual practices like Reiki, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra and Asanas. I got certified as a 500-hour multistyle yoga teacher in India. I am dedicating every single morning to my Sadhana (spiritual practice), including meditation, breathwork and movement.
Currently, I am a student of Traditional Tantra Yoga and Ayurveda Gynecology & Hormonal Health.
I am passionate about cooking, practicing, teaching and forever studying. After feeling confused by the spiritual noise out there and overwhelmed by all the different practices I tried out, I finally understood: spiritualism is simple, and the way back to yourself is shorter than you think. Those consistent, simple daily practices and connection to nature helped me to change my life and become the best version of myself.
I am truly excited to share this experience with you, and I believe, together we can rise up to our roots, to our true selves.

Celine
My name is Celine, and my journey with yoga began when I was 19. I started with Ashtanga Yoga, a dynamic and powerful practice that immediately captured my heart. Over the years, I discovered that yoga is so much more than movement. It supported me far beyond the physical level, helping me calm my busy mind and navigate life with more clarity and trust.
Three years ago, I completed my first Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training. Since then, I’ve explored other traditions and deepened my knowledge through multistyle and pre- & postnatal yoga trainings. Yoga guides how I live, the choices I make, and how I show up for others and for myself. Yoga happens every single day – on and off the mat.
Following my passion for the connection of body, mind and soul, I am currently training to become a certified Medical Massage Therapist. This allows me to blend Eastern wisdom with Western therapeutic approaches to support holistic wellbeing. Alongside teaching yoga, I offer massages that encourage relaxation and a deeper connection to the body.
I’m truly looking forward to sharing this journey with you!
The Concept Behind
Up to the Roots is inspired by the Bhagavad Gita’s (a foundational text of yoga philosophy) vision of the upside-down tree — a sacred symbol where the roots grow upward toward the divine, and the branches extend downward into the material world.
The true source of life lies above, in the realm of silence, not below in the illusions of the physical world.
Finding joy or being spiritual can be simple, and reconnecting to your roots, to your purest self, is the highest act one can achieve in this life.
Proven Results

From the moment we arrived, I felt that this was something different, something new. Everyone was smiling, cheerful, kind, and accepting. Not for a single minute did I feel uncomfortable — not even a little bit. I learned so much about myself, and since then I often recall moments that happened there. Whenever I bring back one of those memories, I’m filled with happiness and an immeasurable sense of gratitude that all of this truly happened to me. When I first saw Petra’s advertisement for the retreat, I felt the calling and knew that no matter what, I had to be there. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone take part in retreats like this. It is a true recharge for the soul! Every single person in the group was kind, and I’m so happy that I got to meet them. Petra and Celine have incredible knowledge, and they share it exactly as it should be shared. The retreat was very well organized. They paid attention to every detail. I would also like to especially highlight the chefs and everyone working there, who were also incredibly kind. The food was absolutely delicious — I loved it. I feel completely recharged and enriched with so many beautiful experiences that I recall with a smile. I am extremely grateful and happy. Thank you, Petra, Celine, all the participants, and everyone I met during the retreat.

I had a wonderful time. Petra is amazing. This retreat was an inspiring, enriching experience. What I love the most about it is Petra’s essence really showed in her attitude towards the whole idea of the retreat: There is structure but there is also flexbility and space for everybody’s needs. There is a lot of respect for the practice and the philosophy of yoga and its origins, meaning, and legacy. But there is also a deep understanding of the diversity of each person’s level of knowledge or experience, which turns it into a very kind, compassionate environment. And there is space for playfulness, laughter, lightness, critical thinking, questioning. Basically her and Celine made it an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to join them again. Thank you!!!
